To provide meaningful architecture is not to parody history, but to articulate it.

Founded in 2005, Christopher Cawley Landscape Architecture (CCLA) is an award-winning boutique landscape architecture studio based in Miami, Florida. Led by principals Christopher Cawley and Lucia Mora, the studio specializes in the design and planning of private gardens, luxury estates, boutique hotels, and oceanfront resorts throughout South Florida and the Caribbean.

For more than two decades, CCLA has created distinctive outdoor environments shaped by a thoughtful integration of architecture, landscape, and lifestyle. Each project is approached as a unique response to its setting, drawing inspiration from the site’s architecture, ecology, history, and cultural context to create landscapes that are refined, enduring, and deeply connected to place.

Our opportunity, as designers, is to learn how to handle the complexity, rather than shy away from it, and to realize that the big art of design is to make complicated things simple.

CCLA’s multidisciplinary team brings together expertise in landscape architecture, architecture, design, and the visual arts, balancing creative vision with technical rigor throughout every phase of the design process. From intimate residential gardens to expansive hospitality destinations, each project is defined by careful attention to proportion, materiality, craftsmanship, and the experience of the landscape.

Working in close collaboration with leading architects, developers, designers, and private clients, CCLA provides a highly personalized design process from initial concept through construction. The studio’s boutique structure allows for direct principal involvement, close collaboration, and an uncompromising commitment to design quality throughout the life of each project.

CCLA’s work has been featured in Architectural Digest, Elle Décor, Wallpaper, Florida Design, Luxe Interiors + Design, Modern Luxury, and Dwell, and has received numerous industry honors, including the 2026 Sea Glass Award for Landscape Architecture and recognition on the 2026 Luxe Interiors + Design Gold List.

Today, CCLA’s portfolio encompasses a diverse collection of residential and hospitality landscapes across South Florida and the Caribbean. Across scales and settings, the studio remains guided by a singular philosophy: to create landscapes that are timeless in character, rooted in place, and thoughtfully crafted to enrich the relationship between architecture, landscape, and the people who experience them.

Good architecture is like a good therapy session, a good marriage, a good poem - gently and almost invisibly allowing you to be you, as flawed and as beautiful as you are.
